This captivating children movie will be released internationally at the beginning of 2017. After its national premiere foreseen for 17 January 2017 (Dutch FilmWorks), STORM will be on screens in Germany (February 2017), Belgium (Jekino, 22 February 2017) and Luxembourg (Iris Distributions, March 2017) among others.

Shot in Luxembourg, Belgium and Netherlands between November 2015 and Mai 2016, STORM, the feature film directed by Dennis Bots, coproduced by Phanta Vision (Netherlands), Iris Productions (Luxembourg), et BulletProof Cupid (Belgium)is currently in post-production in Luxembourg and in the Netherlands.

The Luxembourgish company LUX DIGITAL will handle the visual effects (VFX). Most of the sound post-production will be done in Luxembourg at the PHILOPHONE’s facilities based at Filmland. The sound editing will start on September 5th and will be done by the Luxembourgish technicians as François Dumont (sound editor) and Loïc Collignon (re-recording mixer). The music will be composed by André Dziezuk.

STORM is an exciting family film, situated in historical Antwerp of 1521, during the first years of the Reformation. Falko Voeten (12) is the son of Klaas Voeten, a printer who secretly prints reading material about the new faith, which is strictly forbidden by the Roman Catholic Church. Unintentionally, Falko becomes the object of a hunt for an important letter by Marten Luther, during which his father is arrested. Threatened by the Inquisition and aided by Marieke (12), a Roman Catholic orphan girl who lives in the underground sewers of Antwerp, Falko is caught in a race against time to save his father from death as a heretic.
