BAD BANKS wins over the North American market.

The American VoD platform, Hulu, obtains the rights to broadcast the successful series.

After BAD BANKS won the Audience Award at the ”Festival of German Films” in New York, the success in North America continues for the series. As announced by the global distributor Federation Entertainment, the US streaming platform Hulu – a company of NBC Universal, Fox Entertainment Group and Disney-ABC Television Group – has obtained the broadcast rights of the bank thriller. The six episodes of the first season are now available in streaming.

BAD BANKS is one of the first foreign drama series that Hulu buys. With acclaimed productions such as “The Handmaid’s Tale” or “The Looming Tower” and around 17 million subscribers in the US, Hulu is one of the major players of online video-on-demand providers. Hulu has already confirmed the purchase of the second season.

Already in February, the production of LETTERBOX FILMPRODUKTION and IRIS PRODUCTIONS, in co-production with ZDF and in collaboration with ARTE, the thriller series was sold across Europe and even to Australia. Recent sales to Kino Lorber, RTL Luxembourg, NPO for the Netherlands, alongside sales to NETFLIX in Germany and France, HBO for the Scandinavian countries and Central Europe, Channel Four and Sundance Channel etc. show the strong interest in BAD BANKS and its second season. More commercial successes are expected for the coming months, the series will therefore be available in nearly forty countries.
